I think this is the question I am most commonly asked by those interested in starting up their own independent boutique, so I decided to put together a primer for you.
Okay, so you’ve gone through the 12 step program to establishing your boutique.
And the fun stuff like branding yourself.
Now you need a rocking inventory that will delight your ideal client!
I have put together an eBook that gets rave reviews on how to find wholesalers who have quality product to delight your customers as well as are trustworthy for you to work with.
You can snag my Sourcing Quality Wholesalers eBook here.
There are a few ways you can go about finding quality wholesalers.
- Are you already established on Poshmark? Once you have completed ten sales on the platform, you are able to become a “boutique” there. You can purchase small packs of wholesale items through the app.
- You can register with clothing brands that you know you like by finding the tiny link to “wholesale” on their website. Register with them and start your purchasing!
- There are several wholesale type “malls” you can register to purchase from. They all offer hundreds of vendors and extensive search options. I am most familiar with FashionGo and LA Showroom.
I have also written a 4 page ebook with tips on finding wholesalers, setting up an account to purchase for your boutique, and a list of 26 trustworthy, quality wholesale vendors in it!
I offer consulting services and would love to help you get your own independent boutique up and running with some of my tips and tricks!
